A Little Wisdom for Your Wisdom Wednesday

Happy Wisdom Wednesday, sunshine! Wisdom is a trait that grows with your life experiences. Never feel like you aren’t wise because of your age, though. Wisdom isn’t necessarily about being smart or intelligent. It’s about knowing how and when to use that intelligence to make good decisions. In other words, you learn to have good judgment.

As time marches on and the years pass by, you’ll have an evolution of your heart, mind and soul. You’ll be able to see things more clearly and be able to make the appropriate judgment of any situation. If there ever comes a time when you feel like you can’t use good judgment, you’ll use your wisdom to reach out to someone who can help.

I want to share with you 8 pieces of wisdom that you might want to consider. I think this is a great starting point to practice your wisdom. Think about each one and apply them to your life.

8 pieces of wisdom for you to apply to your life

1. Words are powerful, use them wisely. Your words have the ability to either break another person’s soul or help lift them to greatness. It’s your choice, but your wisdom should tell you that the former is horrid and the latter is beautiful.

2 People come and go, but the right ones stay. This is a hard one for me to grasp because of my fear of abandonment, but I’m learning to accept this. It upsets my inner peace way too much to worry about it anymore. My wisdom is growing here because I’ve learned to just let people go if they don’t want to stay without allowing myself to be hurt. Work in progress, but progress is progress!

3. You are doing enough even if it doesn’t feel like it. Sunshine, as long as you set one goal each day, you’re doing enough! That goal doesn’t have to be big. It could be something as simple as making your bed in the morning. If you’ve been struggling to do anything at all lately, then doing that will help you to see progress.

4. Failure is when you don’t try. You HAVE to try if you want to accomplish your goals, sunshine. If you don’t try, then you automatically fail yourself. If you try, but fail, then you didn’t really fail – you gained experience. What does that experience turn into? You got it! Wisdom!

5. Random acts of kindness make everyone feel better. This one is so easy to do, sunshine! My favorite random act of kindness is paying it forward in the drive thru at a restaurant. I’ll pay for the car behind me and it usually starts a domino effect! It DOES make everyone feel better when nice things happen!

6. Live for today, not for tomorrow. Sure, we have to set ourselves up for success tomorrow, but we do that by living today. Enjoy this present moment and this day to the fullest! Worry about tomorrow when tomorrow gets here. Worrying about tomorrow only takes away today’s peace.

7. Never look back, there is nothing there for you. Ohhh how my mind needs to understand this! I actually think it has somewhat started to understand because I had to put my story on hold. It was causing too much chaos in my head trying to relive it and write about it. My wisdom told me to stop for now, so I listened.

8. Overthinking kills happiness. Oh my goodness does it ever! I’m wise enough to know this, but not strong enough to stop overthinking absolutely everything! I try my best to notice when I’m doing it and just walk away from whatever it is for a bit. It’s usually better for me when I come back to it.

Whew, sunshine! Now do what I just did for yourself. Writing things like this down really helps to remember it. So my advice to you is print this out and write your thoughts down.

Thank you very much for taking the time to read my blog, sunshine! I always look forward to any comments or feedback!

Love you always,

Christy ♥️
